On Saturday, April 12, we kick off the season with our 3rd Birthday celebrations in the Garden at OXI, with Angel D’lite, Carl H and the legendary Francesco Farfa. Expect psychedelic techno, deep progressive house, rave and breakbeat from three of the best in the business.

When the sun sets outside, we kick off the night programme on the X Floor, with Stella Zekri, So-Fi, Public Display of Affection (aka Jonah Considine and Tam Tam), plus E-Talking and DJ TEETH, going for a second round after their explosive b2b last year in the garden.

On the O Floor, we begin the first in a series of special extended sets exploring faster techno and progressive sounds, with Bliss Inc. going b2b with TPR – all night long.

Angel D’lite is an unmistakable presence on today’s queer music scene, and rightfully so: the Club RAUM resident is a force in the booth, an avid collector, prolific producer and in-demand remixer who plays by her own rules. Known for delving into the higher ends of the BPM spectrum with bass-heavy, breakbeat-driven sounds amidst the wider array of music in her crates, Sadie is a trailblazer for an era in dance music that is busy reclaiming and recontextualising jungle, drum and bass and other UK sounds, bringing them into the lexicon of a generation of DJs and producers who are fiercely redefining the sound of queer dancefloors worldwide.

Carl H is one of the figures behind legendary London warehouse party Sub:System, where he and his collaborators have forged a sound that’s as hard to find elsewhere in the city – a wild blend of acid, progressive, trance and psychedelic techno – as the parties themselves. He also runs Animals On Psychedelics – a label that’s spiritually close to what you can hear at Sub:Sytem, which has released a steady stream of mind-bending releases from artists such as Vladimir Gnatenko, Memphis, BPMF and Invisible Menders. A close collaborator with Jane Fitz, with more than 20 years in the game, Carl is quite simply one of the best in the business.

Born in Florence, Francesco Farfa began his DJ career in the early ‘80s, crafting eclectic mixes that fused funk with early electronic rhythms. A true digger and sound obsessive, he quickly became one of Italy’s most renowned exports, playing at iconic venues like Space and Amnesia in Ibiza, E-Werk in Berlin, and Tenax in Florence. Farfa’s productions on labels like Air Trance, Memento and Interactive Test earned him a reputation for innovation and experimentation, labelled everything from psychedelic techno to cyber-trance. Now, re-energised and deeply entrenched in the underground scene, Farfa’s enduring influence and love for the craft are more evident than ever.

X Floor (22:00-10:00)

E-Talking is a French DJ and producer whose unique brand of intricate, deconstructed and revamped house and techno has been catching much attention of late, and for good reason: the fluidity and depth of reference between genres and sounds in his productions and DJ sets is as rare as it is exhilarating to listen to. One half of French duo Nummer, along with his long-time friend Silvère Letellier, Manu and Silvère are responsible for the impresssive catalogue of Nummer Music and its two sublabels, Natural Selections and Nitejams. As E-Talking, he has a growing catalogue of excellent releases and remixes that speak to his musical bandwidth, perhaps best exemplified by his exhilarating 2023 EP ‘The Cosmic Egg’ on Love On The Rocks.

Hypersoft co-founder and resident DJ TEETH continues his bid for world domination: Last year he announced the launch of his label TREMENDO Recordings, with its first 12” – a collection of rare and unreleased tracks from the early/mid-90s by Holographic Hallucination – receiving love across the board from the likes of Jane Fitz, Sound Metaphors and vinyl DJs worldwide hunting for the lost artefacts of golden era progressive. He has also been busy with his own productions: his first track, ‘Mi Acid Su Acid (La Abuela Mix)’, appeared on our own label in June last year, followed by the anthemic ‘Fatal (Fuego Lento)’ on Neptune Discs. And there’s plenty more on the way: no rest for the wicked.

Stella Zekri is a multi-talented artist who has earned her well-deserved reputation as a fearless selector and leading light of the Berlin and international scene. Co-founder of Body Language, Stella has helped reshape Berlin’s queer nightlife by curating vibrant, musically rich lineups and emphasizing openness, diversity and a dedication to community, raising countless funds for causes close to the scene. Holding down residencies at local institutions Cocktail D’amore and Refuge Worldwide, Stella’s DJ sets are guided by emotion over precision, always playing with soul, intuition and a deep love for music. Her presence in the booth and on the scene is a joy, and testament to the one thing it truly takes to stand out: being yourself.

DJ and producer So-Fi is part of the Brainsurgery family and a resident at Superluminal, the excellently curated party series in Berlin run by Matthias and Ancut. Originally from Paris, she has made her home in Berlin since 2015, where she has built up a solid reputation as a dediated selector and DJ. Her approach to music is authentic and personal: she defines her musical world as a spiritual journey, displaying a deep connection with hypnotic and esoteric rhythms that shift between breaks, house, and techno. Over the last few years, her reputation has been growing with appearances at Radion, PRST, Les Enfants Brillants, Rex Club, Horst Club, and Macadam, as well as sets at Dimensions and Transcendance.

Public Display of Affection (or PDA) is one of Berlin’s best-kept not-so-secret off location parties, run by local record heads Jonah Considine and Tam Tam, who are joining forces for this edition in a special b2b under the same name. Jonah is something of a local hero: a member of the trusty Sound Metaphors team and resident on Refuge Worldwide, where he regularly shares his selections from “the other side” (everything from ambient and synthpop to post punk and disco) on his monthly ‘Everlasting Pictures’ show. Tam Tam is a DJ and audio engineer from Bradford, UK, who has found his spiritual home in Berlin and his musical match with Jonah: nothing but good vibes and dedication to dance with these two.

O Floor (00:00-06:00)

Nodding to genre-melted decades of the past, Bliss Inc.  is a singularly talented producer whose skill in capturing the essence of classic era progressive house and techno and filtering it for the modern dancefloor is unmatched. His influence can be felt everywhere over the past few years, yet he continues to stand out as the real deal – guided by his vision of music as the manifestation of a sonic ritual, guiding us through the internal journey towards self-discovery. Resident from day one, his releases on Magicwire & Radiant Love are timeless, and continue to light the path for all who have longed for the art of progression back in its purest form.
TPR is a polymath of Berlin club life; co-founder and resident of Hypersoft, he also works behind the scenes for Love On The Rocks and on the front lines of one of the capital’s better-known nightlife institutions. DJing since his teens, Samuel is in his element in the booth, while equally focused on the unseen work that demonstrates his deep dedication to dance music. With a perspective shaped from every angle, he remains unfazed by expectations of what a DJ should be or do, continuing to surprise via regular b2bs, mixes and solo sets exploring new connections and musical territory: from ambient and downtempo, to diverse takes on house, techno, jungle, and everything inbetween.
