14.12. – OXI / Berlin
"Everybody's scared to walk to their own rhythm. They're terrified of it. So they conform. I came from a time where conformity was a weakness. Like, you know.. "I hate that. I gotta be me." I always tell people, "Be you." If you wanna wear two watches because they're two different colours and they match what you're wearing, wear two watches. And don't worry about someone wondering why you got two watches on. Cos I wanna have two watches on!"
Join us for our 20th edition and final event of the year, with Italian house pioneer Alex Neri and a selection of Berlin, London and Frankfurt's finest selectors, producers, collectors, label bosses and music heads, over OXI’s 2 rooms equipped with high-end Lambda Labs sound, chill out areas, bar and darkroom.

Alex Neri
We are extremely excited to welcome Alex Neri, one of Italy’s most legendary DJs, producers, and one of the pioneers of the Italian house and progressive scene.
Mastering his craft in the clubs of Tuscany in the early ‘90s, Alex quickly became well known internationally, with his first release ‘The Wizard’ landing in 1992 on Palmares Records, a prototype for his unique Italo sound and for much more in the decades to come.
In 1993 he founded Wildflower Records, an influential house music imprint home to many classics from his multiple projects and aliases, including the wildly successful Planet Funk & Kamasutra.
He’s also co-owner and resident of the legendary Tenax club in Florence, and the founder of its associated (and prolific) label Tenax Recordings, which has been pushing the Italian ‘tech-progressive’ sound since 2004.
Alex relaunched Wildflower in 2019 after a long hiatus, releasing a number of stunning EPs of new material, and recently released two 12”s on Laurine & Cecilio’s excellent Berlin-based label Slow Life, that show exactly why he’s been such a vital presence in dance music for over 30 years.
Get ready for a masterclass in house from one of the best in the business.

Bliss Inc.
Not much more we need to say about Bliss Inc. – Alex played the first Hypersoft back in April 2022 and has been one of our most trusted residents ever since.
Something of an unknown quantity back then, his productions to date were mysteriously good – timeless, genre-melted sounds from decades past, difficult to mark as either exceptionally crafted new material, or genuine sonic artefacts from another era.
Alex possesses an ability to conjure something emotional within the listener that transports some of us back to our earliest rave experiences, while contextualising the essence of the early progressive days for the new generation, in a way that few of his contemporaries can match.

Castro + Nemo
Some people excel in their scenes, but few actually create their own.
Castro and Nemo, the children of Swiss-Cuban mariners, while trained as an architect and a beautician, respectively, are better known as the duo behind Berlin’s friendliest dance music institution: Sound Metaphors.
Since opening up shop almost exactly 9 years ago, Castro and Nemo have breathed vibrant, colorful life into the Berlin scene, and turned it, in their own way, upside down.
From their base at Sound Metaphors, the manifestation of their vision for a modern Disco Utopia™ in the heart of Kreuzberg, the pair supply the city with probably the best curated selection of records in town, while running a seemingly endless number of in-house labels, with scores of releases that, while being broadly different in style (the prerequisite for a metaphor), share one crucial common thread — a dedication to dance.
Perhaps expectedly, they are rather good DJs too: over the years, their extended sets at Cocktail D’Amore and their epic 18-hour New Years Eve closing of Lab.oratory have become the stuff of legend, while their regular full takeovers of its beloved parent club are perhaps the best curated parties in town.
And that’s not to mention their countless free parties and off location raves that help keep Berlin’s illicit spirit alive, their solid support of local DJs and vinyl enthusiasts, or their custom-built H.A.N.D. Sound Systems, which are fast becoming a feature of the disco landscape the world over.
Arguably one of the hardest working entities in Berlin's underground, in just 9 years it’s become hard to imagine Berlin without them. This Saturday, they join us at Hypersoft for the first time, where they will be in charge of the Ultimate Closing* at our final edition for 2024.
Because closing is the new Peak Time™!
Do. Not. Miss. ;)

E-Talking
E-Talking is a French DJ and producer whose unique brand of intricate, deconstructed and revamped house and techno has been catching much attention of late, and for good reason: the fluidity and depth of reference between genres and sounds in his productions and DJ sets is as rare as it is exhilarating to listen to.
One half of French duo Nummer, along with his long-time friend Silvère Letellier, Manu and Silvère are responsible for the impresssive catalogue of Nummer Music and its two sublabels, Natural Selections and Nitejams.
This year, Manu has contributed to a series of compilations, released new material via Secret Sundaze’s new label 9finity, and turned in several remixes and co-productions, including with Love On The Rocks boss Paramida, together with whom he remixed Anja Schneider and Sebo K’s 2012 classic Rancho Relaxo to superlative effect.

Jonah Considine
We are joined this month at last by local hero Jonah Considine.
Jonah runs the rather well curated party series P.D.A. (Public Display of Affection), which has been having some serious fun with a number of quality DJs in secret locations around town of late.
Outside of the club, he’s also a resident on Refuge Worldwide, where he shares his selections from “the other side” – aka, everything from ambient and synthpop, to post punk and disco – on his monthly ‘Everlasting Pictures’ show.
Otherwise, he’s usually to be found working his magic at Sound Metaphors, popping up on discerning lineups here, there and everywhere – or glued to a dancefloor, usually near the front.
In Jonah we trust.

Lora Mipsum
DJ Lora Mipsum is one of our favourite figures on the current London scene.
A strictly vinyl-only DJ, fresh off of recent appearances at Dimensions festival, Transmissions from Hackney and The Pickle Factory, Katie is returning to Hypersoft for the second time as the proud label head of Slush Records – her new imprint trading in quality reissues of lost and rare progressive gems from the 90s.
Slush has two releases already under its belt: a re-offering of Andy Falconer’s 1995 EP ‘Transmissions’ and a fully remastered edition of Sedona’s ‘Pulsation’, both of which are more than worth picking up at your local record store.
She’s the co-organiser of WHOMP, a not-for-profit event series in London, which has raised more than 14.8K since its inception for important community causes, while throwing a number of serious parties in the process.
Full support!

Trent
We are very happy to welcome DJ, producer, Sound Metaphors associate and treasure of the Berlin scene: Trent.
Trent is one half of the off-kilter house/techno production and DJ outfit Greenvision, who have a small but impressive run of EPs on ESP Institute and Cocktail D’Amore, where he is also a resident.
Trent has a unique sound and approach to music, which has found a perfect home on a number of releases and remixes for Sound Metaphors’ many in-house labels.
His three offerings for BLESSYOU are excitingly esoteric offerings of patchwork disco samples, tripped out synth effects and bass lines, wild percussion and hypnotic vocals at a wide range of BPMs.
Get ready for something completely different.
